PREACHERS AND THE WORKPLACE

Recently I have become aware how some preachers do in the workplace. Expecially if they are a boss. Some I have noticed tend to tell their associates or employees when they are wrong in their personal life while they are at work.

One time I saw a preacher tell someone that they were sinning because they had wine. Well, they mentioned their church believed in wine and the preacher argued with them and told them it was strong grape juice and not wine. I know several preachers don’t believe in drinking but to just tell their associate or employee that they are sinning and their church is wrong about wine. That is wrong! This makes it difficult for some people to work around preachers who are going to tell them they are sinning. And not all preachers do this, I just happened to see one that did.

Another thing when you are a woman and you are the boss and a preacher who believes women are second because the man is supposed to be “head of the house”, then you will have some more problems. Not all preachers will do this. I was told about a preacher who decided to take it on himself to tell the employees of a business what to do. He decided he would take over since the woman was a boss. Apparently he tought he was superior to her as he was a man. He did not know what he was doing and telling these people what to do at work made it bad for them. They were actually listening to him and not getting the work done they were supposed to have done costing the business money. So this was another difficulty that being in a workplace with someone who believes women are second.

There are ways to help out in a workplace and sometimes a person’s beliefs can interfere with a business. People may mean well, but sometimes it can hurt employees and a business.
