Subway on 340 W 23rd Panama City, FL

Went there for lunch today. Two ladies working behind the counter. One lady with a subway shirt on was sitting out in the eating area with her 3 yr old watching some kiddie show on the phone at volume 10, and a guy in the back doing nothing. We noticed when we got there, the bread was over cooked. I noticed one of the ladies behind the counter telling the lady in the sitting area that she did not set the time correctly. Meanwhile the older lady waiting on me was super slow and no one was helping her. I asked for a tuna, and she said make it correctly. Once she finished, we went to checkout. While this was going on, the line was almost to the door. When checking out and explaining to her that we wanted 2 cookies instead of chips, she understood, but I believe she looked overwhelmed with everyone coming in. I asked for a lid for my drink and I knew she was busy so I asked if they were located in the cabinet and she told me she would have to get them. Well I never got a lid. Until they improve in management you don’t want to eat here unless you just want to wait.

TROUP Residents and those who have lived in Troup County, GA

CANCER RESEARCH

If you have had cancer, a family member that has had cancer, or someone in your family has passed away from cancer who has or had lived in Troup county, please send this information in as we are collecting a cancer cluster database for the environmental attorney.  The higher number of people in this database, the quicker the environmental research can be implemented from the attorney to find the source of where the cancer is coming from.

Runaway Island

Panama City Beach, Fl

Restaurant is clean but the bathroom is not. 

  1. Food is good.
  2. Great view of the ocean. 
  3. I recommend the Runaway Grouper. I ordered mine lightly blackened with the gouda grits. The grouper had clumps of crabmeat on top with a lemon sauce. Which was really good. The gouda grits had pieces of pork in them which had a great flavor. There were not dried out like some grits.  I also recommend the Dream Pie for dessert. You would not think this was a heavy dessert thinking whipped cream. But it is. It has pecans, whipped cream, and toasted coconut with a caramel drizzle. This is a good dessert to share with someone. 
  4. The restaurant can sit groups of people.  
  5. Kid friendly restaurant with a kids menu. 
  6. Not really a vegan friendly restaurant. 
  7. Bathroom needs work. Not very clean. When you walk in be aware of the floor tile as it goes down just a little to make you think the floor is falling through. Holes are in the wall  behind the toilet and the salt in the bowl beside the sink was splattered on the wall and on the floor.

Hang Five Restaurant

Panama City Beach, FL

The restaurant was clean. They do have some downfalls.

1. They need lighting. You cannot read the menus unless you have a flashlight-if you wish to sit on the porch (make sure you download flashlight on your phone).

2. The waiter was nice but we actually had to get his attention to come to our table to order our appetizer.

3. The Pan Seared Grouper I totally recommend. Its grilled grouper on a bed of mashed red potatoes with a buttery sauce, broccoli next to the grouper and potatoes also, with a buttery taste. It’s served in a glass type bowl with metal utensils, in which I prefer glass over plastic.

4. Kid friendly place. The little girl next to us ordered fried pickles and we actually had the same thing as an appetizer. The pickles are good with ranch. They offer several sandwiches. And I did not see mac n cheese as a side item.

5. Vegans they don’t offer a large variety. There are few salads to choose from.

6. Parking for this restaurant is directly across the street down a little alley. Upside the meal was good with a great view of the ocean. You can sit on the porch and look up at the beautiful sky. There is indoor seating and you can sit groups of people.

Big Turn Off

Nobody wants to see those nasty words on social media. I am not sure if people think they look cute or just out to get attention. But when I see those people who post those really nasty words most of the time I just delete them. We are talking body part words.

I noticed this morning when I got up a guy had posted something really nasty on a group site. This tells you what type of girls he is looking for, and those that respond to him you know what type they are. People think its ok to say body part words out in public. If you are talking some thing medical that is one thing but to come out with gestures or things you say you want to do is not right. People need to have respect towards others unless they are just looking for a one night stand. Then the next thing people are going to think is how many? What do they have? (sickness) all kinds of things run thru people’s minds. Also, when a guy states he likes to____, then you start thinking sores and other things on his body.

The small words I don’t usually get offended, but the body part words, unless it is talking about an issue, medical, and so on, really bothers me.

Social media is just not the place to be posting things like that. Especially if you have kids you never know when they might be standing behind you reading over your shoulder. And then you have to explain what was said. People need to have respect towards others.
